3.2.2 Accept/Reject Method

Given this , we then choose another ``independent'' random number, . If is less than or equal to the probability of emission at angle , then we accept the emission, otherwise we reject the emission and repeat the process. Thus, we accept the emission if and only if:

The above is an inefficient method for achieving emissions because when the emission is rejected the work is wasted.
