Advances in Physics Tools for Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery

Lijun Ma, University of Maryland School of Medicine
Bldg. 6008 Conference Room

Radiation therapy is going through a major paradigm shift. New physics tools and technology have provided numerous new modalities for delivering more effective therapy. In this talk, a few areas of research focusing on common cancer sites such as the breast and the brain treatments will be discussed. The talk will also provide a general overview of medical physics practice in the field of radiation therapy.
