Physics Division Seminars bring us speakers on a variety of physics related subjects. Usually these are held in the Building 6008 large Conference Room, at 3:00 pm on the chosen day, but times and locations may vary. For more information, contact our seminar chairman,

The Canadian Penning Trap (CPT) mass spectrometer, online to the ATLAS facility at ANL, has been used to obtain the masses of unstable nuclides. Our measurements are aimed at the determination of masses and Q-values that are of interest in studies of nucleosynthesis (r-process and rp-process) and of use in tests of symmetries in fundamental interactions. A summary of our the recent results and the ongoing additions and improvements to the spectrometer will be presented.
