Nuclear Shell Model for Neutron-Rich Nuclei

The evolution of structure in neutron-rich region is very important to understand the nuclear structure far from the valley of stability. Different shell model to study the structure of neutron-rich nuclei is discussed. Emphasis is placed on the projected shell model calculation on the neutron-rich nuclei. Systematic calculation on the energy level, isomer state, and electromagnetic properties are carried out by projected shell model and good agreement with available data is reached. This is systematic calculation on the microscopic structure of neutron-rich region. It is worth noting that the aim is not only to reproduce the experimental data well, but also to extend our understanding of nuclear structure and its variation with nucleon number in neutron-rich region.
