Phenomenological Model of Beta-Delayed Neutron Emission

Krzysztof Miernik, The University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland
ORNL, Bldg. 6008 Large Conference Room

A phenomenological model of the beta-delayed neutron-emission probability, based on a effective level density systematics, will be presented. This method is found to provide an improved description of the beta‑delayed neutron-emission probabilities compared to other available models. In addition modeling of a competition between one, two (P2n) and three (P3n) beta-delayed neutrons emission channels will be discussed and compared with available experimental results.
