A method for angular correlations and g-factor measurements of 252Cf fission fragments with Gammasphere is discussed. With this method, the magnetic properties of neutron rich nuclei above 132Sn are studied. The g-factor of the 4+ state in 134Te is measured for the first time. The spins and parities of excited states around 4 MeV in 135I are also discussed. Furthermore, the g-factors of the first 2+ states in 140,142Xe have been measured for the first time. An experiment utilizing the RIV method with fission fragments is proposed to measure the g-factor of the first 2+ state in 138Xe. An upcoming experiment to measure the decay of the pp1/2 isomer in 97Ag at the HRIBF is discussed, as well as the target and ion source development necessary to perform this experiment. The future of these measurements at HRIBF will be examined.
