Estimated intensities

The HRIBF has developed baseline intensities for the proposed cyclotron upgrade. These estimates are based on our decade-long experience producing ISOL RIBs with a 50 MeV cyclotron. We view these intensities as achievable soon after project completion. Following some time for further refinements, we can expect intensities to increase by a factor of 2-5 for the very neutron-rich RIBs.
