Reception and Banquet

A reception will be held on the main campus of ORNL after the SNS tour on the afternoon of Thursday, November 11. The reception will start at about 4:30 pm and end at about 6:30 pm. Only those who attend the SNS tour will be able to attend the reception. The deadline for signing up for the tour is November 3, 2004.

The meeting banquet will take place in the ballroom of the Doubletree hotel at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 12, 2004. The deadline for sigining up for the banquet is October 31, 2004. Rita Bajura, the Director of the National Energy Technology Laboratory, has been invited as the keynote speaker at the banquet. Ms. Bajura will present an overview of the present electrical power production in the U.S., give projections for the next several decades, and outline strategies for meeting the electrical energy needs of the country.
