U.S. Visa Information

Non-US citizens, especially citizens of "sensitive countries" need to allow ample time to obtain a US visa. However, citizens of 27 countries (mostly in Europe) do not need a U.S. visa for business or tourism visits of less than 90 days PROVIDED they have a machine-readable passport.

Visa information, helpful suggestions, and other links concerning entry into the United States may be found at the visa website of the U. S. Department of State and the International Visitors Office of the National Academies. If you require a letter from the Conference, please let us know as soon as you can along with any required wording.

Medical emergencies may be handled in nearby hospitals. However, these services are charged to the individual and it is recommended that you obtain medical insurance prior to entering the U.S. The conference cannot offer any form of insurance.
