Hi All -

Reminder: Our next installment in the brown bag seminar series will take place today at noon in the 6025 large conference room. David Radford will speak - title and abstract below.

Title: Segmented position-sensitive HPGe detector

Abstract: The design and characterization of a novel germanium detector will be discussed. The large single-crystal detector has a modified "point-contact" design, with approximately 1 mm FWHM position resolution. The primary intended application is for gamma-ray tracking detectors such as GRETA, but it may also have potential for gamma-ray astronomy and medical imaging.

Hope to see you there!

Cheers,
Vince
