Nucleon Transfer Reactions

Nucleon Transfer Reactions
An 16O beam is to the left and the 16O target is to the right. The beam collides with the target nuclei and loses 1 neutron and 1 proton which make this nucleus 14N. The target has gained these nucleons and is now 18F. Both nuclei are in excited states and emit many gamma-rays until they are in their ground states.
