1. HRIBF Users Meeting Planned for Tuesday Evening of Nuclear Structure '98 Conference

A HRIBF Users Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m., August 11, at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This meeting will be in conjunction with the Nuclear Structure '98 Conference which will be held August 10-15 at this location. The primary topic of the Users Meeting will be our plans for constructing the next-generation ISOL Radioactive Ion Beam Facility at the site of the Spallation Neutron Source at ORNL and use of a portion of the 1 GeV proton beam for RIB production. In addition, we will report on recent progress in the HRIBF development and operations.

Please join us for refreshments and a discussion of our near-term and long-term future on Tuesday evening, August 11, in Gatlinburg!
