ISOL'01 Proceedings

In order to more widely disseminate information gathered at this conference, we will only accept electronic submission of proceedings. We prefer to receive files in portable document format (PDF) as this format has proven to be reliably handled by most computer platforms and uses compression so that files are typically much smaller than postscript versions of the same material. However, we are willing to accept postscript formatted documents provided that we are able to successfully convert them to pdf files. We assume that all users are able to generate a ps version of their document either with LaTeX, Microsoft Word, or some other word processor. Hint: If the "save as" option in your word processor does not have postscript, try the print window and use the "print to file" option.

Programs or scripts which convert ps to pdf

Specific Instructions:
  1. Suggested page limits for the various contributions are:
    10 pages for invited speakers
    5 pages for contributed speakers
    3 pages for poster presenters
  2. You must fill out a Publication Release Form (with your signature) and return it to
    Althea Tate
    Physics Division
    Oak Ridge National Laboratory
    P.O. Box 2008
    Bldg. 6003 MS 6373
    Oak Ridge, TN 37831-6373
  3. Generate your proceedings in compliance with the document below. We recommend that you use the latex template provided:
LaTeX template based on revtex files, and encapsulated postscript file (58 kB)
The pdf (127 kB) and ps (151 kB) versions are available for viewing.
  4. After creating a pdf file, check legibility and any data conversion by inspecting it with Adobe Reader 4.0. If you are on a DEC UNIX machine, we have had some difficulty with Reader. We recommend using ghostview or gv in these cases. If you are submitting a ps file, use ghostview or gv which uses ghostscript to check legibility and postscript standards compatibility. We recommend the Aladdin version of ghostscript 6.0.
  5. Send your file as an email attachment to isol01@mail.phy.ornl.gov.
