The Department of Energy maintains a complete list of the U.S DOE laboratories. We also maintain a list of labs whose home pages we visit regularly.

Nuclear Physics Information

The nuclear physics community has embraced the WWWeb whole-heartedly. You can find home pages of various

Physics Policy and Planning

The Division of Nuclear Physics of the American Physical Society has general information about nuclear physics in the U.S. Planning for Nuclear Science is done by the Nuclear Sciences Advisory Committee (NSAC) for the NSF and DOE. A new long-range plan is starting to be developed.

For those interested in US science policy, check out What's New, political commentary by Robert Park of the American Physical Society, and FYI, information about the political process from the American Institute of Physics.

Funding Agencies

A large part of the US nuclear physics research effort is funded by the DOE Office of Nuclear Physics, the balance is funded by the National Science Foundation Physics Division.
