It is the tradition of the conference to be located in a fairly remote area surrounded by natural beauty with lodging and meals centrally located. Callaway Gardens fulfills this tradition admirably. The meetings will be held at the Southern Pines Conference Center opened in the fall of 2002 with over 2000 square meters of meeting space. The center is a short walk from the Southern Pine Cottages that have been reserved for the meeting. Each cottage consists of two private bedrooms with attached baths. The common area includes a kitchen, a family room with a fireplace and television, and a screened porch with ceiling fan. Although an entire cottage may be reserved, the preferred accommodation is a half-cottage. As each half-cottage has two large beds, the most economical mode is for two participants to share a half-cottage. Meals will be provided as part of the accommodations, and arrangements will be made for accompanying persons.
Callaway Gardens is located about 70 miles southwest of Atlanta and is easily accessible by car or shuttle from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport. Registration and accommodations will be reserved through the ENAM04 website at a later date.
ENAM04 is being organized by the Physics Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
