NEW REACTION RATES:
14O (alpha,p)17F and 17F(p,gamma)18Ne

The 14O(alpha,p)17F and 17F(p,gamma)18Ne reactions are important in explosive hydrogen burning that occurs in novae, supernovae, and x-ray bursts. A new evaluation of the rates of these reactions over the temperature range 0.1 < T9 < 1.0 has been made and published in D.W. Bardayan & M.S. Smith, Phys. Rev. C56 (1997) 1647. We reproduce analytic expressions for these rates below, in FORTRAN formats similar to that in the Caughlan and Fowler 1988 compilation and similar to that utilized by Friedel Thielemann and collaborators.

Valid Temperature Range: 0.1 < T9 < 1.0

Units & Notation
T9 Temperature of the reactants in units of 109 K.
T9nm Notation for (T9)(n/m), [e.g. T932 = (T9)3/2].
fj Rate of the jth reaction in (cm3/moles)(N-1) /s, where N is the number of particles involved in the reaction.
